Sygna’s Hosts Second Women in Construction Golf Day!

Sygna was proud to host its second annual Women in Construction Golf Day, bringing together around 40 women from across the construction and built environment sectors for a day of golf, networking, and meaningful conversation.

Held in a welcoming and supportive setting, the event was designed to encourage more women to engage with golf, whether they were picking up a club for the very first time during the introductory clinic or taking part in a full 18-hole round alongside industry peers.

The initiative was created with a simple goal in mind: to provide a comfortable environment where women can build confidence, expand their networks, and feel empowered to participate in industry events that may initially seem outside their comfort zone.

While significant progress continues to be made across the construction industry, it remains a traditionally male-dominated sector. Golf can often present similar barriers. By creating opportunities like the Women in Construction Golf Day, Sygna aims to help break down those barriers and foster greater inclusivity both on and off the course.

One of the most rewarding highlights from this year's event was seeing two attendees from last year's introductory clinic return to take part in the full 18-hole round. Their progression reflects the positive impact of creating accessible opportunities and demonstrates how confidence can grow through supportive experiences.

The day was also made possible thanks to the support of Sygna men who volunteered as caddies for the day. Their enthusiasm and allyship played an important role in creating an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.

Reflecting on the success of the event, it was clear that the future of the industry is being shaped by a growing community of talented, ambitious, and supportive women. The day provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to share experiences, develop new connections, and strengthen existing relationships across the sector.
