Sygna was appointed as Commissioning Agent for the Substation supporting the client’s new data centre campus in Berlin. The substation includes two 70 MVA 115/20 kV transformers with a Maximum Import Capacity (MIC) of 63 MVA, fed by a 110 kV grid connection.
Our scope covered commissioning management from design review through to final energisation, in accordance with the client’s standards and local grid compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Commissioning Management Across All Phases- Oversaw the full lifecycle from design review, pre-functional inspections, FAT attendance, L1–L4 testing, to final energisation.
Interface Management Across Stakeholders - Acted as a technical liaison between OEMs, construction contractors, grid operator (e.dis), and client representatives to align commissioning timelines and scopes.
Review and Development of Test Documentation - Reviewed and commented on test procedures, logic diagrams, and SCADA/telemetry interfaces; provided redline updates and witnessed sign-offs.
